EMPATHY, second CD from SPINOUS covers pop,dance,funk,rock,alternative,house and electronic music. SPINOUS is a multi-instrumentalist that plays guitar, bass, piano, percussion and singing. His voice is quite distinct, strong and peculiar. Some people say it reminds them of Brandon Boyd, Mike Patton, David Sylvian or David Bowie depending on the singing register. His music is a mix of pop music with rock ,RnB, funk and dance music. The first CD titled Searching For You had some sucess and good reviews in the indie scene in 2008. Empathy, Spinous second CD has just been released and promisses another ten songs of intrinsicate originality.
Featuring ten great songs, where Spinous adventures himself in the world of pop, funk, RnB and rock, Searching For You results in fresh music that is unique and rich. From great groovy songs such as Searching For You or Let Love Rule, into a more funky sound like Make A Party, a delightful sad theme such as I Can't Say Goodbye or a more bossa-nova style such as Come Back To Me, this CD has musical diversity for everyone Spinous plays several instruments such as guitar, bass or piano and possess a strong and distinctive voice that ranges from deep low notes up to falsettos. His voice is also quite versatile and can be used into different musical genres. Spinous shows a tremendous musical maturity in his first CD, particularly considering it was all done by himself: performance, production and arrangements.
